Coast to coast

Hadrian1.gif

Hadrian's Wall Path National Trail, an unbroken 84 mile signposted trail stretching from coast to coast, from Wallsend in the east to Bowness-on-solway in the west. Passing through some of the most beautiful parts of England - from rolling fields and rugged moorland to the vibrant cities of Newcastle and Carlisle.

On the 7th August 2006 the seven of us are heading up to Carlisle. Leaving the cars we are then going by bus to Bowness on Solway. We are then spending 6 days backpacking from Coast to Coast, West to East before returning to Carlisle the following Sunday to return home.

After the walk we will be posting full details of our trip here. Hopefully if it goes well we will learn from this before tackling the South Uplands or West Highlands Way in 2007.
